Bookwire cooperation with tredition lets publishers get started with their own self-publishing portal

Frankfurt, 5 April 2017 - Bookwire is bringing another service to its publishing clients. It is working together with Hamburg self-publishing services provider tredition, so that publishers can access ‘publish-Books’ to get involved in self-publishing and take advantage of the constant dynamic development on this market.

Bookwire’s 1,000+ publishing clients will immediately benefit from full access to the white-label self-publishing technology ‘publish-Books’ that has been available from tredition since 2008.

“’publish-Books’ gives our publishing partners the opportunity to get into the self-publishing market without major expense and risk. This makes the cooperation between Bookwire and tredition particularly important for small and medium-sized publishers”, says John Ruhrmann, manager of Bookwire GmbH, on the expansion of the range of services for national and international publishing clients. The tredition ‘publish-Books’ web technology enables publishers to bring out their own self-publishing range, under their own brand and with their own pricing and commission terms.

As a white-label service provider, tredition will take over operation of the self-publishing platform and distribution of printed books for Bookwire publishing clients. Bookwire will handle global eBook distribution for its publishing clients. This means that publishers get the required technical and sales support from a single source.

According to tredition manager Sönke Schulz, the cooperation gives Bookwire’s publishing clients the opportunity to discover promising authors early on and to generate income: “instead of turning down manuscripts, publishers can refer interested authors to their own self-publishing portal. This enables publishers to discover talented authors more quickly and to tap into a new source of income in addition to classic publishing.”
