Frankfurt a. M., 28 November 2016 – In future, Bookwire will also be supporting publishing group Random House with international distribution of its eBook catalogue. The Frankfurt-based digital services provider will display and market around 14,000 deliverable, German-language eBooks in selected shops all over the world, using its closely linked distribution network.
Bookwire has many years of established expertise in international eBook distribution. Along with direct contact with all relevant international shops and libraries, it also has its own Bookwire dependencies in Spain, Mexico and Brazil that ensure that eBook catalogues are locally marketed as successfully as possible.
Dr. Frank Sambeth, CEO of publishing group Random House, describes the benefits of the cooperation “we want to give our readers across the world access to our books and create awareness. By working together with Bookwire, we can access even hard-to-reach markets and respond as well as possible to local needs”.
As well as Europe, cooperation mainly focuses on markets in the USA and Latin America, where Random House is, above all, counting on Bookwire’s far-reaching expertise in successful distribution using local partners in the markets concerned. Bookwire offers a blend of regionally networked suppliers, such as “Tagus” (joint platform of distribution channels “El Corte Inglés” and “Casa del libro”) and large, internationally operating library service providers such as “Odilo”. eBooks from Random House, with German-language bestsellers, are of great interest to both target groups.
According to Jens Klingelhöfer, manager of Bookwire GmbH, “having publishing group Random House as a new partner in our client portfolio once again confirms the profound trust in our strategy of offering our clients individual, full-service support, up to and including global and local marketing of individual titles, from an established and closely meshed distribution network”.
