Frankfurt, 30. June 2017 – Frankfurt digital services provider, Bookwire, will now be responsible for international distribution and marketing of more than 7,000 eBook titles from the catalogues of German publishers, Bonnier Verlage. The collaboration takes in all relevant shops outside the EU and more than 7,000 eBook titles from Bonnier publishers Piper, Ullstein, ars edition, Thienemann-Esslinger and Carlsen Verlag.
The shops supplied by Bookwire GmbH for the new cooperation with Bonnier include leading international eBook shops, such as Amazon, Apple, Kobo and Barnes & Noble, and, in individual countries, popular shops like Tagus Books, Wook, Gardners, Bajalibros, Perú eBooks, Siglo del Hombre and Hipertexto, etc.
Bookwire has been entrusted with distribution and marketing of all eBook titles of the five Bonnier publishers. This represents additional growth in the international business of the company, whose head office is in Frankfurt a.M. Among other activities, Bookwire is also responsible for international distribution of the German-language catalogue of Random House Group (since autumn 2016).
“The cooperation with Bonnier publishers again reinforces our alignment to international business in the sphere of distributing and marketing eBooks, combined with deeply rooted local expertise. Knowledge about local market conditions in individual countries, especially those outside the EU, is essential for successfully positioning catalogues on the market and increasing their market share. That’s exactly what our teams in Latin America and Brazil are for. Constant monitoring of success by Bookwire Analytics Services, both in distribution and in marketing, is another benefit that we can offer our clients. We are delighted that Bonnier AB is now relying on us for the German-language eBook catalogue, too”, says John Ruhrmann, Managing Director of Bookwire GmbH, on completion of the contract.
